The New Stuff

Well thanks for all of you who have kept up to now. God has recently recharged me since going to San Diego. I went there with the intention of just doing missions with Upward. While I was there, God truly used the time as a time of rest and relaxation. I did serve and many kinds learned how to play basketball more effectively and about the Gospel. I was very elated to be apart of the Upward ministry in San Diego.

Just before, I left for San Diego and couple of my friends and I decided to begin to memorize scripture. One of the parts of Scripture that we memorized contained a verse about how much Paul loved the people of Philippi. Paul loved them with the affection of Jesus Christ. I believe that this is how everyone is to love in the community of Christ. Do you? Do I love this way the brothers and sisters around me? It is a challenge from God's Word to love with the same love that Christ loves all of his children with on earth and in heaven. (Phil. 1:8, ESV)

Through this God has truly deepened my passion for the people he has led me to at Faith Baptist Church. I am learning to love them more deeply and care for them as a shepherd should. I am learning to be a pastor as God changes me and molds me in to the man that he desires me to be. God can do a great work in me and through me. I hope this encourages those who are fighting the good fight and those who love me so dearly.
